Bombay Chow – Tradition, Fusion, Revolution
The story of Bombay Chow begins in the heart of Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay, a city whose food culture is as diverse and dynamic as its people. What started as a small fishing village grew into a sprawling megapolis, drawing in dreamers, workers, traders, and artists from all corners of India. Each wave of migrants brought with them not just ambition, but their culinary treasures. Over time, these flavours blended into the rich and varied food landscape that defines modern Mumbai.
At Bombay Chow, we celebrate this cultural tapestry through a menu that captures the soul of the city’s streets and kitchens. From the tangy chaats found on bustling corners to the regal richness of Mughlai dishes once savoured by Nawabs, every bite tells a story. Our smoky tikkas and kebabs come straight from the traditional clay oven, packed with spices and charred to perfection.
But no journey through Mumbai’s food scene would be complete without a stop in its lesser-known culinary crossroads, Indo-Chinese cuisine, a bold fusion that originated in Kolkata. When Hakka Chinese immigrants settled in Kolkata’s Chinatown, they began blending their traditional cooking techniques with Indian spices, giving birth to an entirely new style of food. Dishes like chilli paneer, hakka noodles, and Manchurian chicken became instant favourites, and today they stand as signature offerings at Bombay Chow.
Our restaurants in Wembley and Northwood bring this vibrant mix to life in a setting that combines urban energy with warm hospitality. Whether you’re craving the comfort of home-style street food or exploring new flavours with friends, Bombay Chow offers a dining experience that’s both rooted in history and refreshingly modern.
Come hungry. Leave inspired.
